Omelet with ayran

Evelina

Have you ever tried adding sour cream to your omelet? Adding ayran is even better, and it also mixes more evenly. Ayran gives this omelet extra flavor and makes it moister. And actually, since it’s a probiotic, you’ve got that extra health boost too.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 50 ml ayran;
  • butter or oil for cooking;
  • salt and pepper to taste (remember, ayran already has salt in it);
  • desired filling (like ham and cheese or mushrooms and onions; it‘s good on its own too)

Steps:

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with ayran.
  2. Warm up the skillet with a tablespoon of butter or oil on moderate heat. Add the egg mixture. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the filling and fold the omelet in half. Serve.
