Egg and Soldiers With Fish Roe

Take your egg and soldiers to the next level by adding fish roe or even caviar. Thank me later.

By the way! Did you know that all fish eggs are called “roe”, but not all “roe” can be considered caviar? Caviar only applies to roe in the sturgeon family Acipenseridae. So salmon roe, for instance, is not caviar.

  • 1 egg;
  • 1 slice of bread of your choice;
  • 1 tsp butter;
  • salt;
  • fish roe (salmon or trout roe are my favorites)

  1. Put your egg in boiling water for exactly six minutes. Shock it with cold water and peel.
  2. Butter your toasted bread slice and cut it into “soldiers” for convenient dipping.
  3. Top your egg with some roe and enjoy the best breakfast ever!
