4-Ingredient 4-Step Tomato Soup for 4

Tomato soup is something that almost everyone loves and eats year-round. The best part: you can make it with just a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp butter;
  • 1 onion, cut into large wedges;
  • 800 grams of canned, whole peeled, or crushed tomatoes;
  • 350 ml chicken or veggie broth or just water;
  • salt

Steps

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add the onion, broth or water, tomatoes (juices included), and salt.
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 40 minutes.
  4. Blend the soup to the desired consistency. I like it smooth, but you can keep it chunky if you prefer.
